#11 OFF THE RADAR

There is one designer I cannot figure out.

Not in a bad way, but in a good way.

They are well known, yet remain in the shadows.

Like ‘off the radar.’

I don’t know how this is achieved.

I could be way off, but I think this is the goal for most Fashion Houses.

Be readily available, but hard to find.

Not in the sense it is hard to find when wanting to purchase.

I mean in the sense of seeing it on the street.

When was the last time you saw someone wearing Lacoste?

I like that.

Lacoste.

That Crocodile.

If you see it on someone, you say in your head, ‘Oh, he/she is wearing Lacoste.’

Compared to other labels, which are so present and common, that you don’t even notice, let alone, care.

When people think of Lacoste, their go-to image is their Polo.

Their iconic Polo.

Have you been on their site lately?

Have you been to one of their stores lately?

Have you watched one of their fashion shows?

Put aside some quality time.

They have it down and always have.

Years ago, I started with their iconic Polo.

I think we all did.

But I stayed with them, I grew with them, kept an eye on them, bought them, wore them, and, well, love them.

When you think of Lacoste, you think of Tennis.

But, they have a deep history with Golf.

Rene Lacoste married a woman by the name of Simone.

She was an accomplished Golfer.

It is really good collection, but smaller than their Tennis Collection.

Tennis transfers to cycling as beautifully as Golf.

I find their Tennis selection unrivalled.

That is the side I go to.

That is the side I wear.

That is the side that is wonderful to ride in.

I will be explaining why in Posts to come.

Their Tennis Polos and Shorts must perform, and they do.

If there is any sport that requires their clothes to perform, it is Tennis.

Perhaps even more than cycling.

They say ‘tested by tennis players’ in all their descriptions.

I am good at that.

I mean, if it passes with them, it will pass with me.

‘Ultra-Dry Technology, rip-resistance, and moisture-wicking fabric.’

I have five of their shirts.

Two I have had for two years, and they look brand new.

The model’s height is given, as is the size they are wearing.

They number their sizes.

4 is medium.

I am medium, and 4 is a nice fit.

Go spend some time on their site.

The colours are beautiful.

The collections are fantastic.

I guarantee you will say, ‘Whoa, I should have kept up with these guys.’

Get the Crocodile back on your chest.

I am going to send you to their home page.

I want you to see all the options.

You can dig your way in from there.

Insert, obviously, a crocodile emoji here.
