Do you know what I love the most about layering?
Well, first off, it is one of my favourite things to do.
Secondly, you cannot go wrong.
There is no right way.
There is no wrong way.
I will prove this to you in a game I play.
I call it ‘EYES WIDE SHUT.’
I know my closet.
Like where things are.
I close my eyes.
Feel for a cardigan.
Grab a collared shirt.
Pull out a T-shirt.
Unhang a blazer.
Dig down three pairs of shorts.
Feel out the belts.
I keep my eyes closed and put it all on.
Then off I go.
Never looking down.
Get my bike, wallet, and phone.
Lock the door, turn around, and see my neighbour getting out of their car.
‘You look nice,’ she says.
‘Oh, thank you,’ I reply.
See?
Funny, I have had a few standouts.
Stellar.
Ones that really came together nicely.
Ones I leave my eyes fully open for.
Complete intention.
Full intention, or play the game, you cannot go wrong.
Whatever you think looks good layered, do it.
Layer it.
No order.
Once on, do not question it.
Go out and have a blast.
