I like to support the ‘little guy,’ ‘the underdog.’ 

I know I am not alone in saying that. 

Your reward is always finding something unique. 

Cool. 

When I am looking for something, I try to avoid the ‘big guys.’ 

They are fine without me. 

But sometimes the ‘big guys’ are hard to avoid. 

They have something down. 

They are doing something right. 

PUMA is a good example of this. 

But I am going to be very specific with what they have ‘down.’ 

Their shorts.

Don’t bother with the rest of the site. 

The cover shots are nice, but once you ‘click’ in, it becomes a bit of a bore. 

‘The same old.’ 

There are a few exceptions here and there, but nothing memorable. 

I thought having someone as unique, game changing, and a style icon like Rickie Fowler as your ambassador would make the site really something. 

It doesn’t. 

It feels like you are at ‘Sears.’ 

Haha, if ‘Sears’ was still around. 

I was reluctant to write this post because of their lame site. 

I did not want to send you there. 

It does not fit ‘the groove’ of DERAILED COUTURE. 

But the shorts are too nice. 

I remember the day they arrived. 

I thought maybe I would keep these. 

Keep these as non-riding shorts. 

Keep these for ‘going out’ shorts. 

…Just one pair exclusively for going out. 

That did not last long. 

I wore them on a ride the next day. 

I have worn them on countless rides since then. 

I have worn them on countless nights out since then. 

There is just something about them. 

The first line in their description is, ‘Say Hello to your next favourite pair of shorts.’ 

I said, ‘Hello.’ 

First off, the price is reasonable. 

Secondly, the colour selection. 

21 colours. 

I am into longer shorts at the moment. 

I buy the ‘ten inch,’ aka 25cm. 

I am a ‘ten-inch guy,’ I said what? 

Haha. 

I am not going to ‘cut and paste’ from the site to describe them. 

They ‘ride’ very comfortably. 

The fit: They have an invisible stretch waste. It keeps your shirt tucked in. I am a 32 and wear their 32. 

Performance: Moisture wicking and breathable. 

The Fabric: This one is hard to describe. They have a different ‘feel.’ You know they are going to last. You can tell they are durable just by touching them. When you ride with them, they move up your leg ever so slightly, lock-in, and stay there. Haha, I will use the example of when you are out for dinner, and you go to stand up, you don’t have to pull them down because they rode up. The perfect stretch. Oh, and a small discreet logo. 

Buy them, you will not be disappointed. 

I feel bad saying what I did about the site. 

I want my posts to send you to sites that are cool and innovative. 

The ‘merch’ should match the site. 

For a company as big and international as PUMA, they chose the safe/boring road. 

The safe/boring road that the innovators have chosen to leave behind. 

Haha, but still, buy the shorts.
