#19 FROM THE STREET BACK TO THE STREET
I am a big fan of things ‘appearing.’
It can be the highlight of my ride.
I have an eye out for it.
I want things to ‘appear.’
But I never know when it will happen.
They just ‘appear,’ and I know the reason why.
Sending me a message.
A message, loud and clear.
‘TAKE NOTE.’
Haha, it sounds like I am setting you up for something life changing.
Far from it.
It is simply someone wearing something.
A guy walking his dog.
A woman crossing the street.
A kid playing Basketball.
But they are wearing something I have not thought of before.
Let me be clearer.
It is not what they are wearing.
It is the colours they are wearing.
They put together colours I had not thought of before.
I love taking inspiration from the street.
There is no better place to get it.
Haha, except for here.
It looks fantastic.
I keep on riding and thinking about how great it looks.
Then I realize something.
Something big.
I already have it.
I have those colours.
I have a shirt that colour and a pair of shorts that colour.
One is in the closet.
The other is in your dresser.
Done.
I know what I am going to wear for tomorrow’s ride.
‘From the street back to the street.’
The next day, I pull it out.
I put it on.
Look out!
I head out on my ride.
Wearing a combination I never thought of before.
Wearing a combination that was waiting for me at home.
I feel like a million bucks, I ride like a million bucks.
…Until I see,
A guy walking his dog.
A woman crossing the street.
A kid playing Basketball.
It starts all over.
It never ends.
There is always a story to be told.

‘TAKE NOTE,’ when it appears.
