#25 PSYCHO BUNNY

I like to write good names for my Posts.

I did not write this one.

You know how sometimes you look for your glasses, and you are wearing them?

How you look for your car keys, and they are in your hand?

I get a laugh when that happens.

I know why.

I had other things on my mind when I was looking for whatever I was looking for.

I am going to introduce you to a designer.

I discovered them the same way.

They were with me the whole time.

They were right under my nose.

They were in my hand.

I must have been thinking about something else.

When I say they were with me the whole time, I mean it.

They are based out of Montreal.

I live in Montreal.

I know I use lots of superlatives on DERAILLED COUTURE.

The whole point of DERAILED COUTURE is to introduce you to Designers and use superlatives.

But this one is a superlative on a superlative.

PSYCHO BUNNY

Now that is a name, eh?

You are in for a treat.

A real treat.

‘Those who enjoy the opportunity of being noticed for who they truly are.’

That is a direct cut-and-paste from their site.

‘Let your style tell your story.’

That is a direct cut-and-paste from my site.

We speak the same language.

I think a good designer takes risks with colours.

Kind of a ‘You did not know you wanted this colour, until you saw it’ idea.

PSYCHO BUNNY colours are not colours you would ‘search for.’

But once you see them, and see them with other colours, there is no looking back.

I talked about this in my ‘#19 FROM THE STREET BACK TO THE STREET’ post.

How to let colours come to you.

How to take notice.

Where to take notice.

It is not only the colours they have chosen but also the shades of those colours.

The orange is off, the light blue is almost neon, the army green is muted, and the beige is beigier.

The whole point of fashion is to be ‘off.’

‘Off’ on your own.

By dressing in one ‘off’ colour, you are saying something.

Add this to another ‘off’ colour, and you are telling your story.

That is what PSYCHO BUNNY does with their combinations.

I have a thing for details.

It can take the ordinary into the extraordinary.

There is a fine line when a detail ends, and a design begins.

A good designer knows that line well.

Knows when to stop.

One of my favourite details on any piece of clothing is ‘Tipping.’

Tipping is when the hem, tip of the sleeve, placket, and the edge of the collar are done in a different colour.

It ups the game on a Polo.

If you are talking to someone, you know in their head they are looking at you and saying, ‘NICE.’

You take a colour from the Tipping, and wear that colour in your shorts.

Or you take a colour from the Tipping and contrast it with another.

It is such a simple thing to do.

PSYCHO BUNNY has ‘Tipping’ down.

Beautiful placement and wonderful contrasts.

Haha, maybe they ‘took it from the streets.’

There is one detail they do.

It is unique.

This is who we are ‘dealing with.’

When you flip the collar up from the back on the ‘Bloomington Polo,’ their iconic logo appears.

…Three times.

Yes, cotton.

The Post I said, ‘F’ THEM,’ I love cotton, I am riding in cotton.

Riding in Cotton is wonderful.

Take their Fit Quiz, it works.

I am a Medium and wear their M-5.

I am going to leave you here.

You do not need me anymore.

Buy a Polo from PSYCHO BUNNY, put it on, and start counting down from ten.

I will guarantee that by three, you will hear your first compliment.

Here is their site.

I am just going to send you there, not a page.

Have fun and discover them the way you want.
