#30 THE NICHE SERIES

If you have been reading DERAILED COUTURE and are still reading up to this post, I think it is safe to say we see things the same way.

We have things in common.

Nice.

Oh, and thank you.

Okay, that is out of the way.

Here we go.

When you buy something, you do not want to buy something that anyone can find.

You want something unique.

You want something special.

You want something that is you.

You do not want a Nike Swoosh, a Puma, an Under Armour crest, or a Lululemon logo on it.

They are all way too easy to find.

Available to anyone.

It can be found anywhere.

They dominate ‘Off-Price Retailers.’

They are purchased by people who were not even looking for it.

They stumbled upon it.

Did no research.

Bought it.

Why would you want to wear something that could be seen as that?

Why would you want to be associated with that?

It is not you.

It is not ‘Your Story.’

You want to wear something that nobody else has seen.

You want to wear something nobody else knows how to find.

The Logo is not important.

You did not ‘stumble upon it.’

You researched it.

You spent some time.

For sure, there is the budget aspect of it.

It is going to cost more.

But you will wear it more.

You will be excited every time you put it on.

You like the feeling it gives you when you wear it.

You get compliments.

It lasts longer.

You care for it.

So, in the long run, was it more expensive?

Creating your own style, and telling your story involves not wearing what is easily accessible.

You know when you wear it, nobody else is.

It is ‘Your Story.’

It is not difficult.

You have been doing it all along.

Finding that off-the-radar coffee shop that makes great coffee.

That DJ nobody knows about.

The car is rare in the colour you purchased.

The couch from that little furniture store downtown.

The piece of art you purchased at the local ‘show.’

The Bike you purchased from that small bike company nobody knows about.

Why do you not do it with your clothes?

This is the start of a series of Posts that are to come.

THE NICHE SERIES

I am going to introduce you to some Golf Styles from some real  Niche Designers.

I mean NICHE.

I have the goal of blowing you away.

Not only what these designers are doing, but how they are doing it, why they are doing it, and how they choose to present it.

They are ‘crushing it.’

Golf Style and Fashion are for sure the best kept secrets.

Let’s get in on it, with the next five Posts.
