I am going to start the NICHE SERIES with the perfect DERAILED COUTURE ‘fit.’
But before I even say who it is, you have to know where they are coming from.
Style and Fashion take much of their inspiration from the street.
But I have never seen this label’s angle.
It is an angle that has so much merit.
Their inspiration is from those places where you practiced, played and watched whatever sport you did…PUBLIC places.
As they say, ‘The municipal gems and big city tracks, honour boxes, open gates, parking lot recaps, and the growing community being formed along the way.’
I got it right away.
The public golf courses, tennis courts, tracks, and ball diamonds that I grew up with.
The places that had no rules for clothing.
You could wear whatever you wanted, and people did.
Public Places are thriving today.
They create their own unique Style.
Their own unique Fashion.
Different from the street.
There is one light at an intersection I never get.
It is a long one.
It is the entrance to ride across the Jacques Cartier Bridge.
I don’t mind waiting.
There is a PUBLIC Basketball Court across the street.
Serious Basketball goes down on it.
As much as I am watching the game, I am also watching the fashion.
It is different from the street.
It is unique.
I love it.
You know that they did not just throw anything on to play.
They are telling ‘their story.’
The Label?
PUBLIC DRIP
I love that PUBLIC DRIP sees this.
They saw it in PUBLIC spaces and embraced it from there.
I have a thing for Vests and Cardigans.
This is how I first discovered them.
Then I really got into them.
There are good people behind this label.
When you have good people behind a label, good things come out.
The line and the presentation of that line.
They were founded in 2020.
Obviously, new.
Their line is growing.
Less is more.
I mentioned before how I am better at choosing from three verses choosing from twelve.
They are going to grow very nicely off of this foundation.
There is just so much to go from.

It is always wonderful to get in on a designer from the beginning and grow with them.
