I am not a Real Estate guy.
I do not have much interest in what houses are going for.
But every so often, I will see a home tour on YouTube.
I will click on it.
Go for a tour.
I will look at the house and picture the interior before I press ‘Play.’
The picture I have created in my head is always pretty bang on.
Beige furniture.
A grey chair.
‘That’ kitchen.
I will leave it there.
I know you know.
I always wonder, ‘Where is the life?’
The colours.
The personality.
The ‘lived in’ feel.
It is always missing.
No SURPRISE!
I wonder if it carries through in their choice of colours for their clothing.
Their style.
Their fashion.
Do they carry their interiors to their exteriors?
Clothing can be so expressive.
Colours.
Combinations.
Styles.
Designs.
BUT!
I am going to come clean here.
I kind of like earth tones in my fashion.
Not all the time, but sometimes.
A beige pair of shorts, a white T-Shirt.
A black Polo with a grey pair of shorts.
I think it may be construed as slightly boring.
But in the right situation.
The right event.
The right day.
The right weather.
It can look really nice.
Like going all black, but different shades of black.
All brown, but different shades of brown.
Grey, but different shades of grey.
There is one thing though, that brings it all together.
Or perhaps, sets it all apart.
A nice, collared shirt poking out of the neck of your sweater.
Light blue.
White.
Orange.
Just a little, ‘I know this look may be ‘dull,’ but I know exactly what I am doing, and I am doing it.’
I like to look at European Cars.
They have this down.
You look at a car that is an interesting colour, but the interior colour is not what you were expecting.
SURPRISE!
I guess that is a nice way of summing this up.
All the interiors of houses these days have no ‘SURPRISE!’
The ‘surprise’ is what it should be all about.
That is what that collared shirt is saying.
SURPRISE!
