I find the ‘Skiing World’ similar to the ‘Cycling World.’ 

There will be a certain ski manufacturer, and their ski will be the one to ski on. 

Everywhere you turn, you will see someone with a pair. 

Usually, just one or two models from that manufacturer. 

This will last three or four seasons. 

Then a different manufacturer’s ski will start to appear. 

This is now the ski that you start to see. 

Leaving the other one to slowly fade away. 

For example, it will be VOLKL VOLKL VOLKL, and this will go for a couple of seasons. 

Then VOLKL will be replaced by Rossignol, and it will be ROSSIGNOL ROSSIGNOL ROSSIGNOL. 

Atomic, Rossignol, Blizzard, Volkl, Fischer all seem to take turns. 

It seems to be the same with Bike Manufacturers. 

It is almost as if the manufacturers are aware of it. 

Haha, give each other a turn. 

The same can be said about the ‘outfit.’ 

One designer seems to dominate the hills for a few seasons, then fades away as another designer steps in. 

I was always a Descente guy. 

I liked the fit. 

I liked the warmth. 

I liked the style. 

I liked the colours. 

Then, for some reason, it became hard to find. 

It disappeared. 

I held on for as long as I could, but I had to move on. 

But I see them again. 

They are creeping back in. 

‘Enter stage left.’ 

Maybe it is ‘their turn’ again? 

I like what I am seeing. 

Nothing complicated. 

In fact, I have not seen one item with any discernible pattern. 

Their styles and designs are all one colour, two max. 

The only issue is that their Performance Wear is hard to find. 

Not the Ski Wear, their site does a good job with that. 

It seems to be only available directly from retailers in Japan. 

I am okay with that. 

The best things are the things that are hard to find. 

Take work.
