I came home late last night in a pair of shorts and a T-shirt.
I went out this morning, still in shorts, but in a warm hoodie over a white T-shirt.
It is coming up to that time of year.
Summer is still fully on, but things are changing.
Back and forth.
Warm.
Cool.
Fast.
Sunny.
Rainy.
The sun is ‘hitting’ different.
The light is different.
The sun is setting earlier.
The hot days now have a different feel to them.
I kind of like it.
But it is bittersweet.
Summer is still here, but it is winding down.
What you wear changes too.
The clothes that keep you warmer.
The clothes you have been seeing in July and thinking I would die if I wore that today, are gradually coming back out.
You are putting them on again.
I have always been a huge fan of light on the bottom, and heavy on top.
A hoodie and short combo.
A sweater and short combo.
A light jacket and short combo
Your wardrobe grows exponentially.
Layering is fun too.
It is an ‘Art.’
I see masterpieces when I ride.
I approach layering the way music does.
Like this,
‘Layering is when you combine multiple individual sounds to create a single, more complete sound.’
I think that is the goal of layering.
To not see each individual layer.
But to see it as a complete look.
I am going to take a few dives into layering in Posts to come.
As I discover new looks on my rides.
As I take inspiration from them.
Layering is fun.
It is a world unto itself.
