It is hard to avoid the Red Carpet phenomenon.
There seems to be a Red Carpet for everything these days.
I am okay with that.
I love to see what people wear.
Do my critique, and see if it matches up with the ‘pros.’
I follow this guy on YouTube.
His name is Luke Meagher.
‘Haute Le Mode’ is the name of his channel.
He is funny and incredibly knowledgeable.
He knows his stuff.
I have learned a lot from him.
I can now look at a photo, and ‘call’ the designer.
I know what to look for.
Thanks, Luke.
There is this one designer that keeps ‘showing up.’
I can tell it is one of his designs without seeing the whole photo.
I can call him by a sleeve, the cut, a collar, a layer.
There is one way that is easy.
He uses ‘Four Bars.’
It gives it something I like.
The ‘Uniform’ feel.
Uniform in the noun sense.
He, is THOM BROWNE.
I will come clean here.
I own nothing of his.
I would love to.
I am not going to say why.
I think you will see why when you go to the site.
I get it though, like, really get it.
There is much at play.
Development, design, fabric, exclusivity, limited run, custom nature, construction, craftsmanship, where it is made, and much more.
I am going to start small with THOM BROWNE.
A pair of socks.
‘Four Bars’ on my left leg.
‘Let your style tell your story.’
Yeah, a pair of socks can tell your story.
You can say a lot by saying little.
Here is his site.
https://www.thombrowne.com/ca/
You can take it from here and discover THOM BROWNE the way you want to discover him.
If you want inspiration on how to present fashion through photos and videos, follow him on Instagram.
