Do you have a ride that is your favourite?
A leave and return from home ride?
A long, on the verge of a whole day ride?
One when you get home, you feel like you were on a mini vacation?
I have one.
One I could ride every day.
But one I do not.
I have a problem with doing things too often, and after a while, they lose their appeal.
I am working on that.
Trying to ‘pull it back.’
It is hard, but I am making progress.
I do not want to ruin this ride.
I could do it seven days a week.
I don’t.
I want to keep it special.
I want to keep it more of an event.
Do it spontaneously.
‘Yeah, I will do it today.’
I want to make sure it keeps surprising me.
I want to make sure the weather is perfect.
I want to make sure that the guaranteed funny events that always happen on this ride, happen.
The photo of the chickens crossing the road?
Yeah, it was this ride.
Every part of this ride is great.
Every part of this ride is a gift.
A gift that keeps on giving.
There is a Soft Ice-Cream spot exactly where you want one to appear.
Sure, there are a couple of crappy sections, but I barely notice them.
There are little parts here and there that I have forgotten.
Then I come around a corner and say, ‘Oh yeah, this part.’
But there is this one part.
One off-the-charts beautiful part.
I always get it for myself.
Maybe this is my reward for ‘working on something’ about myself.
Kind of if this ride was a Sundae, this is the cherry on top part.
I have attached a video of it below.
This is the part I love.
I think you can see why.
I like to watch it now and then, but only in the dead of winter.
Don’t feel you have to watch it in its entirety, but I think you will see enough of it to understand why.
I hope you have a ride that you love just as much.
One that you wake up and get right out of bed for.
Haha, but don’t have the ‘problem’ I have.
‘A Sundae on a Sunday.’
Insert slot machine with three cherry emoji here.
‘There is another way to ride.’
