You may think I ride in cycling shoes, and ‘clip-in’ pedals.
I don’t.
Cycling Shoes never worked for me.
I found them uncomfortable and too restraining.
You may say, ‘Oh, you have not found the right ones yet.’
Yeah, no.
I prefer to have a firm, wide, flat soled shoe that fits well and is comfortable.
One I do not want to take off every time I stop.
One I do not want to flick across a parking lot.
One I will still be wearing, long after the ride is done.
I have mountain bike pedals on my bikes.
Beauties.
Big.
Heavy.
Wide.
Solid.
Spiked.
Serious steel spikes that make their way into the sole.
It is my way of ‘clipping in.’
I prefer to push/pull on big wide solid pedals and not with a narrow shoe and a tiny pedal.
It works for me.
I get more force.
Comfortable force.
Solid force.
Solid power transfer.
Fluid.
‘A comfortable shoe makes a comfortable mind.’
I discovered one style of shoe.
It works for what I want my shoe to be.
Lucky for me, it is a style of shoe that has the best style of any shoe.
Skateboard.
Yes, skateboard.
Comfortable.
Breathable.
Durable.
Longevity.
Flat soled.
Toe room.
I have a few pairs of great SB shoes.
I wear them on my rides, and I wear them out.
Wear them out at night.
I don’t want to get detailed here.
It would take a few posts just to explain the different types of SB Shoes, the pros and cons of each type, and what makes up a good pair.
This is a great link that delves into the details of SB Shoes.

I wear ‘Low-Tops,’
I just want to introduce the idea of riding with Skateboarding shoes in this post.
I will get into specific models, brands, what that shoe has, and why I love it.
I was going to attach a specific link to a specific pair in this post.
But I think I will leave it general.
Just an overview.
Plus, the link above is from a great store.
Click on the SHOES link and discover how nice SB Shoes are.
WARNING
You may leave with a pair.
