I love a nice jacket.
I think it is obvious if you open my downstairs, by the door, closet.
You can barely fit another one in.
It is not like they are just collecting.
I wear them.
I wear every one of them.
Not necessarily on a rotational basis.
Let the evening dictate the choice.
Let the outfit dictate the choice.
I love to have the choice.
Funny, there is one I always forget about.
Then I see it and know it is the one going on.
I would not wear one on a ride that would be a ride, ride.
I wear them on a ride when there is a destination.
A cool night, heading to a patio.
A cool day, running errands.
A cool day when I want to be ‘cool.’
I have a favourite when it comes to jackets.
The Bomber.
I did not realize it was my favourite.
I did not set out as The Bomber being my goal.
It just kind of happened.
One day I noticed that most of my jackets are Bombers.
One day I realized that I seemed to gravitate towards them in a store or online.
I am loose when it comes to a true Bomber Jacket.
I like a ribbed collar, waist, and wrist cuffs.
I am open to colours as well.
Beige to Navy Blue.
For the closure, I am good with buttons, zipper or snaps.
It is such a timeless style.
I may be breaking the rules here, but we like to break rules here.
I think the right Bomber can go with the right pair of shorts.
Put this with a nice button-down shirt, vest, and a mid-calf sock.
Look out!
You can get lots of use out of them in the Spring and Fall.
But I love that surprise cool day that comes in the middle of the summer, the day when you can pull one out again, even if it is only for just one night.
There was this store I would always visit on my holidays.
The store had my name on it.
I got to know the fantastic woman who owned it, and she got to know me.
I am not a change room guy.
But she insists you use one.
Haha, probably a good idea.
I am in there trying something on, and she keeps throwing clothes over the top of the door.
One of those items was a Bomber Jacket.
I left with it.
I live in it.
I almost worship it.
Beige, minimalist, zipper, perfect fit, incredible details, and fabric thickness.
It is and will always remain, EVERYTHING.
It is made by a house in NYC called ROGAN.
I have had this Bomber for a long time.
I am having trouble finding ROGAN now.
Please leave a comment if you know where they are.
Here are a few of my favourites.
