I figured it out.
I figured it out for the better.
I had something figured out, and then I figured it out even more.
If I am having a bad day and feeling off, not myself, I go for a ride.
I mean, I ride every day, but in this situation, I leave now.
The ‘TJ’ that leaves the house is not the ‘TJ’ that returns.
‘TJ’ always comes home ‘better.’
Whatever it is.
Whatever it was.
Gone.
I am back.
But I have added something to my ‘medication.’
I added something that has now become ‘the norm.’
Kind of a ‘one, two punch.’
After I return home, after my shower, I dress up.
I put on nice clothes.
I am not talking a shirt and tie.
Just a serious Polo, a great pair of shorts, a belt, and a nice pair of socks.
I could go out to any place in the city, and they would open the door for me.
But I am not going anywhere, I am staying in.
I do it for myself.
I am blown away by what dressing up does to me.
Putting on nice clothes.
It changes everything.
I spend a little time looking at my choices.
I choose.
I put it on.
My posture changes.
I move faster.
I get everything done, and more.
I look for more to do.
Nobody is going to see me.
Just me, that is all.
I am not going out.
I mean, I may venture to the ‘Dep’ for some ice cream.
But that is it.
It does something for me.
It gives me energy.
It makes me feel good.
I am comfortably confident.
I do not want to see anyone.
It is just for me.
I have a better night.
I started doing this a while ago.
I have never looked back.
It does change you.
You will look forward to it.
Try it.
I promise, once you start, you will continue.
