#88 ALL LINED UP

I am aware of something.

‘All Lined Up’

#1 This is a great song from the past.

Shriekback

#2 Something about myself.

I like things to be ‘All Lined Up.’

Everything in order.

Everything in its place.

All set to go.

I ‘work’ better this way.

Before I sit down to work, the house must be clean.

Before I have dinner, and back from a ride, showered.

Make the bed when I get up.

Wipe the counter.

Dust.

I think there could be some ‘issues’ here.

I am okay with that.

It is not ‘out of hand.’

I know when to stop.

I am okay with it all.

I don’t know any differently.

It is not that I am procrastinating from doing something.

I like all that I do.

But I get frustrated when I don’t see it outside my ‘sphere.’

It just happened.

It does not happen a lot, but it happens enough that I think, ‘Bummer.’

Designers.

Designers that have one component down but leave the others a letdown.

I am going to keep it to three components.

#1 The Clothes

#2 The Website

#3 Instagram

They are not ‘All Lined Up,’

I don’t have an issue with their designs.

I like them.

It is why I am on their site or Instagram.

It is the site.

It is Instagram.

Nothing ‘Lines Up.’

Off.

Different.

Three separate entities.

One good, and two not, well, not ‘Lined Up.’

Three different stories.

Three different plots.

…And two of the stories are not good.

What is the story they are trying to tell?

What is the ‘Brand?’

What is the cohesive message that I am supposed to put together?

What am I to see you as?

Me as a customer.

It should not leave me frustrated.

I am amazed sometimes that this is ‘out there.’

Like, how did it get ‘out there?’

With all the people involved, nobody saw it?

Worse, nobody still sees it.

Even after it has all been implemented.

Maintained.

I must stress, this is just on a frustrated level.

Disappointed.

It is not on a WTF moment.

But it is a moment that is big enough for me to be ‘Turned off,’ or distracted.

Instagram is doing one thing.

The website is doing another thing.

And the clothes are lost.

Nothing complicated.

More along themes and mood.

One is precise, the other is lazy.

One is dark, the other is bright.

One has great photos.

The other has a bad layout.

Disinterested models.

Haha, you know, that last one is a big one.

What is it with that?

I go on some sites, and I come up with little quotes for what the model is saying.

‘Are we done yet?’

‘Is this pose lame enough?’

‘I am so not into this.’

‘I would never wear this outside of here.’

‘Why am I the only model for the ninety-three outfits?’

‘I cannot make my face more expressionless than this.’

‘Let me look this way, as if I just heard my name called.’

‘I am so f’en bored.’

Okay, haha, that was fun.

You can tell I do play this little game.

If I do, then it is a ‘thing.’

A ‘thing’ in the sense that I am not focused on their clothes.

Not focused on a purchase.

I will not go on and on.

But come on, get it together.

Have everything you do,

‘All Lined Up.’

Insert questioning emoji here.

‘Wear it OUT’
