I love a good beach holiday.

There is one part of the day that I ensure I am on the beach.

Settled in.

Drinks.

Book.

Friend.

Friends.

Snacks.

4:00 PM to 7:30 PM

It is the best time.

The sun still has its warmth.

It reflects differently off the water.

Most people have gone.

The interesting people begin to arrive.

I have some great memories of beaches at this time of day.

The things that happened.

People I have met.

I ride in the afternoons for this exact reason.

I love the heat and the sun from five and on.

I know that up to this point, you are riding in the hottest part of the day, but it is going to slowly let up.

I like to ride into the ‘slowly let up.’

I do like morning rides.

But afternoon rides are what I am all about.

Everyone is returning.

I am heading out.

There is a bridge close to my home.

A very long one.

No matter how far away from it I am.

No matter how out of the way it will be to get to it.

I get to it.

…And ride into the sunset.
