#119 BUT IF YOU WANT A BREATH OF FRESH AIR?

I am not sure what kind of relationship you have with Instagram.

I try and keep mine as ‘healthy’ as possible.

Know when to visit and know when to leave.

Keep it at arm’s length.

Make it an effort to visit versus having it right there.

I took it off my phone and have it on my laptop.

I still visit a few times a day.

I like to see what is up.

Namely, with some designers I follow.

I find that nine out of ten times, I get inspired.

But other times, the one out of ten, I get hmm?

Let down?

Same thing, day after day.

Perhaps, change the background.

Different setting.

But it pretty well is the same thing, over and over.

I sometimes make a game out of it.

Kind of a spot the ‘What little we have to do, to put a post up.’

There are two though, that never let me down.

BODE

NOAH

They have it down.

They know it is not all about the ‘product.’

It is about the mood.

The vibe.

The feel.

The story they want to tell.

The story they want you to read.

Better still, the story they want you to see.

…The story they want you to wear.

I can scroll at a pretty good pace.

But in that scroll, I can tell exactly when I see either of their posts.

I will stop.

Look at the post and know exactly what they are doing.

NOAH is doing an interesting campaign right now.

‘Beauty is in the Backyard.’

They are doing a really nice job.

Letting you know you do not have to travel far.

That the best travels are close to home.

I took this from them.

‘The old roads, quiet towns, the rolling sand dunes, a stillness to the air and a rhythm of a place you don’t have to learn, you just remember.’

Nice eh?

I mean, that is it in words, but the photos do the job.

BODE is doing this really cool campaign at the moment.

‘The Expressionist’

They did a wonderful job of explaining their Fall 2025 Collection.

Where their inspiration came from.

I took this from them,

‘These references thread throughout the collection, recalling a New York City alive with arts and culture, show business and Modernist painting, Birdland and the Algonquin. The collection reflects the electricity of midcentury Manhattan and the legendary talents who populated it—the vibrant world of Moose Charlap.’

Another, nice eh?

I am not telling you to follow them.

‘But if you want a breath of fresh air?’

Insert open window with blowing curtain emoji here.

‘Dress Confidently. Ride Boldly. Ride YOU.”
