TIME FOR CHANGE

Have you ever thought about changing something?

Not something small, something big.

Like changing the way you approach your rides.

Changing the focus.

Changing the focus from distance to time.

I think boat engines have it right.

They do not measure distance, they measure operating hours.

Distance sets you up for endless comparison.

For sure with others, but more so for you.

Ride after ride after ride.

It is not always good.

‘I did not ride as far today.’

It leaves you with the wrong feeling.

You should not have this kind of feeling after a ride.

Distance sets you up the wrong way.

You have limited yourself to that distance.

You return home because you rode the distance you wanted to ride.

If you rode by time, you would still be riding.

Perhaps you could have had a better ride if you did not set a distance goal and had a time goal.

Not necessarily a time goal, but a time frame.

I am not saying, ‘Okay, I will ride for three hours and seventeen minutes.’

It is more general than this, more like ‘What time would I like to be home?’

It is a nice way to ride.

There is nothing to keep track of, look at, or monitor.

It is nice to be out every minute you can.

Give it a ‘shot.’

‘Time for Change’

Insert clock emoji here.

‘There is another way to ride.’
