When you are trying to figure things out, you are going to ride through some ‘shit.’
‘Shit,’ you must get rid of.
‘Shit’ you can get rid of on your own, and ‘shit’ you can use a hand with.
But some ‘shit’ has a way of working out on its own.
I was on a ride the other day.
It was a beautiful day.
I was in my own world.
‘Vibing’
Some guy threw a comment at me.
It dealt with what I was wearing.
It was not exactly nice.
I let it slide and got back into my world.
A few hours later, I heard it again from another guy.
This time it was hard to get back into my world.
I looked down at what I was wearing.
It was not ‘The Kit.’
It was, for me, something better.
It was also a combination of colours that perhaps did not go together.
I thought they did.
I find the bike a great way to ‘ride shit off.’
I turned it up, and a half hour later, the ‘shit’ was gone.
I headed home.
I stopped at a light.
I knew the three guys on the other side of the street were ‘discussing me.’
‘Really?’
We rode past each other, and I heard a ‘few things.’
But hidden behind them was a young woman who was walking.
She came into view halfway across the street.
She was wearing a T-Shirt with writing on it.
This is what it said.
‘You may be too much for some people…those are not your people.’
I hope I can find it in a men’s medium.
In two colours that do not go together.
‘Wear it Out’
Insert defiant emoji here.
‘There is another way to ride.’
