CHANGING THE ‘DID’

One of the things I am working on is the two different kinds of ‘DIDs.’

I am trying to drop one and transition to the other.

It is taking time, and I am still not there yet.

I work on it after a ride.

I ask myself a question.

I try to answer the question in a whole different way.

‘What DID you do?’

My answer in the past would have been ‘Oh, I DID X kilometres.’

But what I am working on now is the real ‘DID.’

Like, what ‘DID’ I do?

The real ‘DID.’

When you answer it this way, it changes everything.

I rode across that bridge.

I saw a deer.

I almost wiped out.

I beat a long train to the crossing.

I got chased.

I chased.

I rode up the river.

I found this new route.

I had a nice chat with that woman.

I saw a Hawk gliding over the path.

I went around that lake.

I had that hill all to myself.

I stopped at the locks for a ship.

I rode that fun trail.

I like this ‘DID’ better.

You DID far more than X kilometres.
