GIVING MYSELF A MOMENT

I carry an Insta360 Camera with me on my rides.

It is smaller than my thumb.

It is so small that sometimes when I am riding, I pat my pocket to make sure it is still there.

It is simple to use, and the quality it produces is fantastic.

I do not head out on my rides with a goal.

‘I have to film this’ or ‘I have to capture this.’

I know when to use it, the moment kind of says ‘Film this.’

So, I do.

Never been disappointed.

Captured some fun stuff.

Put them up on YouTube.

Mostly for me, friends, and family.

But there are others who seem to like them, and that is really nice.

I click on them now and then.

I remember the ride as if I had just returned from it.

There is one drawback to riding daily.

By the end of the week, all the rides seem to merge into one.

It is hard to remember exact rides.

By the end of the year, well, it kind of feels like haha how people say their life appeared before them.

It is just one fast flash of memories that combine, stand out, and merge.

You try to grasp a few.

Hang on to them.

Hold on to them.

But it is hard.

It is odd, how some nondescript moment on a nondescript day sticks.

That little camera is my little way of giving myself a moment.

Cycling is all about moments.

Hang on to them.

Hold on to them.
