IT IS PART OF SUMMER

It is Sunday night.

You look at the weather for the upcoming week.

It looks good, except for Wednesday.

On Tuesday night, you remember that Wednesday is not going to be good.

You check, and you see it is going to rain around four.

You check once more in the morning, and you see it is now three.

You head out and think Okay, just be back before three.

It is nice out, and you are having a good ride.

You decide to go a little further.

…And a little further.

Then you turn around, and a wall of black clouds awaits you.

You wonder how far you will get before you feel the first drop.

Then you feel one, and you try and brush it off.

Maybe ‘its sweat?’

But you don’t sweat like that.

Then you feel another.

Then it begins.

Then you are soaked.

You cannot get any more soaked.

Once you are at this point, it oddly becomes enjoyable.

You tell yourself that you should not have ridden further, and further.

But you always do.

You always go further.

It’s happened before, and it will happen again.

…Many times.
