There is a guy I like.
He says and writes interesting things.
He says and writes fascinating things.
His name is Malcolm Gladwell.
I take lots of things from Malcolm.
A good insight.
A different way of looking at things.
An incredible story.
A while ago, I was reading something, and he referenced ‘The 10,000 Hour Rule.’
I looked into it.
Short and sweet, if you put 10,000 hours into proper training for something, you can become a pro.
I want to get better.
I want to improve my cycling.
I mean, who does not want to get better at something they love to do?
But I don’t need to become a pro.
It is not that I am ‘copping out,’ I just don’t have the time.
Haha, there are other things in my life that I am working on becoming a ‘Pro.’
I want to be a ‘really good’ cyclist.
I am content with ‘really good.’
If I heard someone say that ‘TJ, is a really good cyclist,’ I would be blown away.
Honoured.
‘Really good’ is achievable.
Haha, ‘Really good’ I would say is more at the 8,000 hour mark.
I think I can fit that in.
And as I work towards that, every hour is one hour better.
